Device not recognized by OrbbecViewer after firmware update to 2.0.4 (Femto Mega I)

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Femto Mega I device after updating its firmware from version 1.1.7 to 2.0.4.

Environment:

  • Windows 11

  • OrbbecViewer v2.4.8

After the firmware update, I attempted to display depth data using OrbbecViewer. At that moment, the device disconnected unexpectedly. Since then, the device has not been recognized by OrbbecViewer—even after reconnecting it or trying it on a different PC.

If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has suggestions on how to resolve it, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, this is the original poster.

I’d like to share that the issue has been resolved—thank you to everyone who viewed the post. After some investigation, it seems the problem was likely caused by a malfunctioning NIC (Network Interface Card).

  1. When I reinserted the NIC, OrbbecViewer displayed the “Choose the device” prompt again, indicating that the device was recognized.

  2. However, when I tried to display depth data using the same NIC, the device disconnected again and was no longer recognized—even after restarting OrbbecViewer.

  3. I then switched to a different NIC, and the device was successfully recognized and continued to display depth data without any issues.

Hope this helps anyone facing a similar situation!
