I tried updating my Femto Bolt firmware to v1.1.2 through the OrrbecViewer following the PDF instructions but it failed with: #72 [ERROR] write property failed: 132@Boot into recovery mode on next boot, ob_device_set_bool_property, exceptionType: 7, message: Request failed, statusCode: 5, msg: Device response with bad magic , magic=0x0, expectOpCode=0x4252
Now it flashes white and orange once connected and cannot be recognized by the OrrbecViewer.
If I look at the USB devices the laptop cannot see it as well.
Can you help me reset it?
I was able to update the firmware myself by unscrewing the screw below the Femto Bolt and pressing the button.
The updare through the OrrbecViewer always fails and, for anyone interested, I instead suggest to:
Unscrew the button below the Femto Bolt with the device disconnected from USB and power.
Press the hidden botton with a needle.
While pressing the button connect the power and, then (without releasing) the USB cable (I used USB-C Femto-side to USB-A laptop-side).
Now the Femto bolt will not be recognized by USB the laptop can actually see it.
Open the firmware installation folder and, there is a USBDownloadTool.exe file, run it.
The device will update the firmware this way, wait until the end. It might not be able to restart but, if it reached the end of the installation (multiple restarting attempts) it can be safely unplugged.
