The Femto Mega has a 6° built-in downward tilt.
I found this in the documantation: Coordinate Systems - ORBBEC - Leading Provider of Robotics and AI Vision
I aligned a Femto Mega Camera parallel to the floor, looking down, and expected the floor to be close to 0 in the coordinate system for the angles of the floor plane in the y and x directions.
However, I had an angle of 6-7° in the y direction. Then I found the entry in the documentation.
That explains the angle.
However, I want to take pictures with the camera parallel to the floor and have the cone in which the 3D points lie to the right and left of an object that is positioned in the center with comparable tear-off edges of the point cloud at a center object.
If I simply align the camera parallel to the floor and only rotate the coordinates by 6°, I have corrected the coordinates, but not the distribution of the measuring points.
So do I have to mount the camera at a 6° angle to get a point cloud with a flat floor and an even tear-off edge all around?
I didn’t expect this feature of the sensor, so I’m asking here to have my conclusion confirmed or corrected.
