Astra for Point Cloud and 3D Measurement

I’m hoping someone can help me out here.

I got an Orbbec Astra in hope to use it for creating point clouds and measuring small 3D volumes. After searching forums, I’ve found a few posts related but nothing very straight forward.

Is there an easy to use application already created to have the Astra turn data into a 3D point cloud? Once I have a point cloud I should be able to use existing software to make measurements. I really appreciate any assistance.

Have a look at the nuitrack sdk - they have point cloud support built in natively.

Though you may find the datasets a little bit hit and miss in terms of accuracy sadly.
