PLEASE HELP, I’m blocked making any progress with Mini!
This problem with Mini does not happen with Astra Pro (which works fine)
Running ANY SDK sample (for example,SimpleDepthViewer-SFML, BodyReaderPoll, etc.) fails as follows:
2018-03-23 13:20:00,337 ERROR [orbbec.ni.LibuvcColorStream] unable to find a libuvc device: No such device
2018-03-23 13:20:00,337 ERROR [orbbec.ni.device_streamset] could not open libuvc device
Segmentation fault
But:
- Astra Pro works fine with both the SDK and OpenNI
- Astra Mini works fine using OpenNI samples, such as SimpleViewer, but NOT the SDK.
Is this a known bug?
I’ve tried reinstalling the orbbec-usb.rules using install.sh
I’ve tried setup a clean system with just the SDK
I’ve tried the SDK plus OpenNI drivers
I’ve tried (on a clean system) install of OpenNI-Linux-x64-2.3 + AstraSDK-v2.0.8-beta2-c1b800ad80-20180201T091618Z-Ubuntu1604.tar.gz.

Please help! Is there some driver I need? Is this a known issue?
It is REALLY easy to reproduce!
