The Femto Mega datasheet reads:
Depth typical systematic error (accuracy)* < 11 mm + 0.1% distance
which seems to indicate a large constant component ~11 mm, but this slide, taken from “Quantitative Evaluation Method for Depth Accuracy and Precision Metrics in Depth+RGB Cameras” presentation:
shows RMSE well below 5 mm in the range up to 2 m. I know that 5 < 11, but why list such a high error when camera performs better?
