I’m wondering if the astra stereo s u3 needs to be calibrated by obtaining its intrinsic and extrinsic parameters (using for example, the chessboard sheet).

Hi, I’m trying to figure this out too.
The IR parameters i could get from some SDK methods, but for the RGB camera we’ll probably need to calibrate via openCV or something like that i guess.
All the cameras provided intrinsic and extrinsic parameters calibrated by Orbbec. I got these through the OpenNI SDK Extended API.

Every camera calibrated at Orbbec factory, so the calibration parameters are different for each camera. You should read your camera parameters from your camera through the SDK API
