Head Tracking with Astra sensors


I’m currently trying to do Head Tracking with an Astra sensor but I’m getting some weird rotations that go all over the place on the head joint. Does anyone have a similar issue? Is it reliable to use the head rotation? I’m using an “aim at” rig on my character right now otherwise his head goes all over the place like my camera when activating the Head tracking.

Did anyone try Head Tracking?


I do not think that the rotation values are very meaningful. Keep in mind, the location of the skeleton nodes are determined by using DEPTH. Computing rotation values from this is not reliable. There will always be multiple rotation values that generate the same shape.
