How well does the device handle heating?
Would it be possible to build a water proof case for the device without worrying about heat issues?

The device handles heat extremely well but since we haven’t tested a scenario like yours, yet, I’m afraid can’t really make any claims in that regard. Hope you understand.
Let me just add that the sort of use cases you are hinting at sounds absolutely amazing!
