To the Orbbec Development Team,
We are currently developing applications using the Orbbec Femto Bolt camera, with a specific focus on body tracking functionalities.
Our current software stack is built upon the Orbbec SDK v1.x, utilizing the OrbbecSDK-K4A-Wrapper. This wrapper is a critical component for our projects, as it provides the necessary interface to use the Microsoft Azure Body Tracking SDK.
We are keen to migrate our development to the modern, open-source Orbbec SDK v2.x to take advantage of its improved features, long-term support, and open architecture. However, our analysis indicates that the K4A Wrapper is fundamentally dependent on the legacy SDK v1.x architecture and is not compatible with SDK v2.x.
Could you please clarify if there are any official plans or an existing roadmap to release a version of the OrbbecSDK-K4A-Wrapper that is compatible with the Orbbec SDK v2.x?
If such a release is planned, could you provide an estimated timeline? This information is crucial for our strategic planning and future development efforts.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
Bioengineering & Biomedicine Company Srl - ITALY
