I need help with Orbbec Astra 2. No matter what I do, I can’t get it to even show up on device manager or Orbbec Viewer. I tried multiple different windows machines, some of which are freshly installed. I used the C to C cable that came in the box as well as my own cables. Orbbec SDK v2.5.5 installs without any issues but the device just does not work, led’s do not turn on, I assume there would be led like on the first Orbbec Astra that I have. It does heat up at least, but that is all it does. Does anyone have any advise on Orbbec Astra 2, is there something I am missing or did I receive a faulty product? Any support would be appretiated.
do you see the Red IR light on the front of your camera. If you have installed the SDK v2.5.5 what does happen when you click on the Orbbec Viewer ? Does it load. Once the Viewer is opened what do you do. If the cables are connected, you don’t see the red light and nothing happens on the Orbbec viwer (after you have selected the viewing mode), then you should definitively report to Orbbec or your resaler. There are no LEDs turning on, and Windows doesn’t react at all when it’s plugged in, no sound, no change in Device Manager, and not even an unknown USB device. I also checked low-level device enumeration using the command: pnputil /enum-devices /connected but nothing changes whether the camera is plugged in or not, which suggests it isn’t enumerating on the USB bus at all. I have contacted the reseller who said they will look in to it with Orbbec.
