Persee ethernet specifications with Ubuntu 14, 100Mb or 1000Mb?

I’ve installed Ubuntu 14, and UbuntuARM ROS version on the persee machine. I’ve installed ros_astra_launch to stream depth topics. I would like to access the depth topics with ROS_MASTER_URI and ROS_IP mechanism.

Everything is okay but I’ve seen that there is a frequency decreasing of the topics in the network. So I’ve checked that the bandwidth of the topics that I need to share is more than 100Mb. I’ve seen also that the cpu can works with 1000Mb ethernet.

I’ve used the mii-tool and I’ve obtained:
eth0: negotiated 100baseTx-FD
in the same ethernet switch where others machines work with 1000baseTx.

So the question is, is it a software configuration inside the built-in Ubuntu or is it a hardware configuration inside the persee that doesn’t allow to have 1000Mb?

I am deeply interested by the answer of the question as well!

Hi anxio,

Thanks for asking. The link below contains the detailed spec sheet of Persee, which should be helpful for you.

Hi Jackson, thanks so it has a bitrate up to 100 Mbit/sec, isn’t it too few to stream the rgb-d datas to a computer?
