Is there a way to toggle the IR Flood light?

I just got my first camera today and this complete example enabled me to test most of the quality/control that I wanted to test in a few minutes.

I installed the IR Flood and tried to toggle it on using the sample code but I got the following error: send IrFlood failed

Is there another way to toggle the IR Flood on or is it just broken?

I managed to get it working simply by using the Extended API and its sample code.
